Alcohol Abuse and Women Empowerment.23-Mar-2024

On March 23rd, Unison World school held an awareness campaign addressing alcohol abuse and women empowerment. The initiative was led by Rachita Agarwal from AL-Y1. The session was attended by female security guards and boarding house caregivers. They were educated on recognizing early signs of alcohol addiction and its underlying causes. The discussion also delved into a disease associated with alcohol addiction namely- Alcoholic Polyneuropathy, covering its symptoms, causes, and treatment. Myths surrounding alcohol addiction and the disease were debunked, clarifying misconceptions among the audience. The audience was also educated about various pathways to empower women, spanning economic and political aspects, along with strategies to address societal stigma.
