The ability to read and write is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world.” – Nelson Mandela World Literacy Week is being observed at Unison World School from 8th September to 14th September 2023 to raise awareness for the development of a sustainable society. A plethora of activities will be observed during the week-long celebration starting with Interschool English and Hindi Debate Competitions, followed by Book Reading Activities, Shloka Recitation, Special Assembly and finally culminating with Nukkad Natak. The school is hosting 12th All India Shri Naveen Agarwal Ji Memorial Interschool Debate on 8th and 9th September 2023. In the two-day Debate Competition Participating teams are competing in both the English and Hindi Debate. of both English and Hindi Debate. 63 participants of nine prestigious school participated in the event. The topic under hammer in the preliminary Oxford round was “Sense of Entitlement Overpowers the Sense of Responsibility in Today’s Youth”. Thereafter six teams made it to the semi-final round which was held in WSD format. In the semi-final round interesting and convincing arguments were put forth by all the teams on the topic “It is Rejection and Not Failure that Worries the Youth” . St. George’s College Mussoorie, Doon International School Dalanwala, Oak Grove School Mussoorie and Unison World School are the four teams that qualified for day two of the debate.
