The Commerce Department initiated the Money Smart School Programme for the year 2023 – 2024 under the guidance of the National Centre for Financial Education, Mumbai. It was a comprehensive initiative aimed at promoting financial literacy among students. This program was designed to equip students with essential money management skills, including budgeting, saving, investing, and understanding financial institutions. Through a series of interactive sessions, workshops, and activities, students were empowered to make informed financial decisions and develop lifelong financial habits. A total of 211 students from grades VI and IX enthusiastically participated in the program. Their unwavering dedication to financial literacy resulted in an impressive 99% of them being honoured with certificates of merit.
