UWS Inter House Chakrasana Event 21-Aug-2020

Students of the four Houses of UWS competed to test their body strength and flexibility by participating in Inter House Chakrasana Competition Online on Friday, August 21, 2020. This competition required each participant to lie down on their back and lift up the trunk balancing the body on the palms and feet for maximum possible duration of time. The event was held in four categories. Tulip House stood champions clocking a total of 1650.83 seconds. Orchid House stood second with a score of 1483.12 seconds. Jasmine House stood third with their participants clocking a total 1263.05 seconds. Daffodil House stood fourth with an overall effort of 761.36 seconds. In Mini (V & VI) category Tanvi Lohia of Tulip House held the Chakrasana position for 248.29 seconds to claim the first spot, Anika Bhutada of Orchid House stood second with a score of 152.05 seconds while Ananya Agarwal of Orchid House bagged the third place with a performance of 136.23 seconds. In Sub Junior (VII & VIII) category Avika Dhoni of Tulip House held the Chakrasana position for388.12 seconds to claim the first spot, Reni Shah of Jasmine House stood second with a score of 365.37 Seconds while Aanya Mahajan of Orchid House bagged the third place with a performance of 137.56 seconds. In Junior (IX & X) category Sanvi Gupta of Tulip House held the Chakrasana position for110.77 seconds to claim the first spot, Shreya Agarwal of Orchid House stood second with a score of 100.72 Seconds while Diva Hundia of Orchid house bagged the third place with a performance of 93.96 seconds. In Seniors (XI & XII) category Humisha Agarwal of Tulip House held the Chakrasana position for187.10 seconds to claim the first spot, Nitya Arya of Orchid House stood second with a score of 183.19 Seconds while Anushka Bansal of Orchid House bagged the third place with a performance of 126.15 seconds. The Inter House sports event drew the attention of students towards the strength of arms, legs and core muscles along with the flexibility of their back muscles. It not only brought the best out of the participants but even motivated others to improve their overall physical fitness.
