77th Independence Day15-Aug-2023

Everyone's hearts were brimming with pride and patriotism on August 15, 2023, as the entire Unison World School gathered to commemorate the 77th Independence Day with unmatched zeal. The programme commenced with the unfurling of the tricolour by the Chief Guest Col. Aditya Kumar Devrani, additional Officer in Uttarakhand Sub Area, Dehradun and the rendition of the National Anthem. Thereafter the school Prefectural body and the contingent of the four houses marked the celebration with a well synchronized march past. Tulip House clinched first position in the march past. The second and third position were clinched by Jasmine and Daffodil House respectively. The fervour of patriotism was further heightened as the speeches reminisced the freedom fighters, their relentless struggle and sacrifice. The cultural programme was marked by Inter House Patriotic Orchestra Competition. The musical performances showcased the love each Indian bears in his heart for the motherland and despite the oddities is passionate about serving the country. The first position was grabbed by Tulip House, followed by Jasmine House and Orchid House at the second and third position respectively. The Inter House Dance Competition gave a glimpse of the diversified and rich culture of our country and mesmerized the audience. Orchid House bagged first position followed by Tulip House and Jasmine House at the second and third position respectively. The Chief Guest in his speech commended the students for breath-taking performances and urged them to never criticize their elders as well as freedom fighters. He asked them to always hold the nation first. Thereafter the Principal Dr Mona Khanna presented a token of gratitude and appreciation to our esteemed Chief Guest Col. Aditya Kumar Devrani. The celebration culminated with everyone singing the song Saare Jahan Se Achcha in unison with the school choir.
