Unison World school bore witness to an outpouring of creativity, manifesting through deft artistic strokes, profound expressions, and captivating presentations during the grand celebration of 'Spectrum-24- Multidisciplinary Art Extravaganza' on 4th May, 2024. This prestigious interschool art competition serves as a confluence of diverse artistic mediums, and intellectual exploration, fostering a platform that empowers students to articulate their deepest emotions, aspirations, and authentic selves through the mesmerizing language of art. This year, 22 distinguished schools from across the city and outside, engaged in 19 exhilarating competitions across six dynamic categories out of which 5 were online. The competitions this year, revolved around a diverse range of genres, including music, entrepreneurship, mathematics, theatre, culinary, visual art and more. Mr. Gaurav Juyal, host of Disney’s Art & Learning Experience Designer at N.I.D. graced the occasion as the esteemed Chief Guest. The jubilant inauguration of the 11th edition of Spectrum commenced with the ceremonial illumination of the lamp by esteemed dignitaries and school representatives. In her heartfelt address, the school Principal Dr. Mona Khanna talked about interdisciplinary approach, blending of different art forms, disciplines, and perspectives to create something that is truly unique. The address was concluded by the remark “Let this not just be art extravaganza but an emotion, an expression of liveliness.” Esteemed luminaries representing diverse artistic disciplines were summoned to adjudicate the participants' creations. They were tasked with serving as guiding lights of inspiration, illuminating the path for the students' future pursuits and creative endeavours. The chief guest, Mr. Gaurav Juyal, shared insights from his own career journey, encouraging the students with anecdotes and lessons learned. In his speech, he emphasized on the importance of confidence in learning and highlighted the need to define one's path to success by understanding what they aim to achieve. He commended the participants for their exceptional and pleasing presentation of their ideas through various mediums. Doon International School emerged victorious in several categories at Spectrum-24, including the House of Isekai, the House of Aesthete, the House of Kathanak, and the House of Fortuner. Additionally, Wynberg Allen School secured the trophy for the House of Gourmet, while Gyananda School claimed victory in the House of Elegance. In the culmination of the event, Doon International School clinched the prestigious overall Rolling Trophy for Spectrum-24, solidifying their dominance in the multidisciplinary art extravaganza.
