‘Girl Power’ Dominates The Mixed Gender Shooting Event “When you’ve got something to prove, there’s nothing greater than a challenge” Unison World School, Dehradun successfully organised, the first of its kind, Invitational Online Shooting Championship for budding shooters of the country. The championship was held from 18th – 22nd August, 2020. The event was open to both male and female shooters in ISSF Matches. 32 shooters from five different states of Telangana, Maharashtra, Uttar Pradesh, Haryana and Uttarakhand participated. Muskan Chahal a Grade 10th student of DPS Maruti Kunj, Gurgaon, bagged the top honour in 10 Meter Air Pistol event scoring an impressive 557. Savya Khetan, a Unison World School Alumni (Batch of 2020) currently studying in Mumbai, emerged champions in 10 Meter Peep Sight Air Rifle Event. Her score was 622.6. The shooters performance was being recorded live online with their electronic targets visible. The championship was able to generate equal pressure as few of them were found trembling and perspiring while one of the competitors got overtly emotional over the performance. The event was opened and closed by Unison World School Principal, Ms. Divya Dwivedi. She, praised the spirit of the participants, appreciated the efforts of their mentors and congratulated the school activity department on successful conduct of the event.
