12th Annual Prize Distribution Function12-Oct-2019

Unison World School celebrated its 12th Annual Prize Distribution Function on 12th October, 2019. The event began with an impressive array of subject exhibits in the morning, inaugurated by the parents of the Head Girl accompanied by Mrs. Divya Dwivedi, Principal Unison World School. The exhibition displayed colourful charts, models and art work made by students of the school, for all disciplines and as part of the grand exhibition, the students of the Lower School put up English and Foreign Languages Street Play based on the social issue of ‘Dowry’. It was a showcase of latent talent of the students imbibing the theme of our APDF celebration – ‘Navras’, to the amazement of parents, staff and other guests on the occasion. A grandiose Cultural Programme was organized later in the evening. Mr Sonam Wangchuk graciously consented to be the Chief Guest. The occasion was graced by the core members of the Governing Body and their family. The gala event was witnessed by many distinguished guests, academicians and parents. Also present on the occasion were the alumni of the school, who return to their Alma Mater every year to attend the Alumni Meet, held a day prior to the Annual Prize Distribution Function. The Cultural show began with the Ceremonial lighting of the lamp, a welcome speech by the Principal who continued with the School Annual Report. The school orchestra-‘Samagam’ was a huge success. Next, was the Prize Distribution Ceremony where the winners were given awards by the Chief Guest to mark their achievements in various disciplines. Saakshi More was awarded Excellence in Helpfulness, Shreya Agrawal, Yashvi Tikmani, Rokshar Naz and Aadya Ritesh Sood carried away the Academic Proficiency Cup for Lower, Upper, Senior school and International Curriculum respectively. Basu Thakur was given a trophy for the best sportsperson from the batch 2019-20 .The Overall Trophies for 2018-19 in Academics and Cultural went to Daffodil House, the Literary trophy was bagged by Orchid House and Daffodil House was judged the winner of the Cock House trophy. Komal Nehra won the coveted student of the year 2018-2019 award. Navras Dance Drama-‘Astitva’ was staged and was a huge success.The student actors presented the nine emotions outstandingly, mesmerizing the audience. The girls successfully brought out the essence and message of ‘Navras’. The School Year Book - Quintessence’ was released by the Chief Guest, SGB Members and Principal. An Inspirational talk by the Chief Guest followed. He spoke eloquently, motivating the young girls of Unison World School to continue the good work. With these words of encouragement the programme concluded with the vote of thanks delivered by the Head Girl of the School, Ahana Dulat. This was followed by a grand dinner for all.
