Remembering the contribution and the great teachings of Mahatma Gandhi; the father of the nation and Lal Bahadur Shastri; the former prime minister, Unison World School held a special assembly on the occasion of their birth anniversary on 2nd October 2023. The vision and philosophy of the two great leaders was shared in the assembly and the famous hymn ‘Vaishnav Jan to Tene Kahiye’ was sung by the school choir. Thereafter, a floral tribute was offered to the two leaders by the Principal Dr Mona Khanna and the school prefectorial body. The assembly concluded with the National Anthem Following their teaching of selfless service and extending a helping hand to the poor and destitute a community service initiative was also undertaken by the school on 30th September 2023 to mark the celebration. The students and staff distributed edible items and stationery among the children of a nearby Anganwadi (Daandiyon Ka Danda). They also engaged the students in fun learning activities. The smile on the faces of the Anganwadi children and the contentment felt in the heart of our students and staff resonated the valuable teachings of the two stalwart leaders.
