Spic Macay State Convention – Day 303-Sep-2023

Unison World School hosted three-day Spic Macay State Convention from 1st -3rd September 2023. Spic Macay: a tapestry of Indian culture promotes dance, classical music, and folk music to foster love and respect for our tradition and culture among the youth. The third day of the Spic Macay State Convention began with soulful music of sitar by Shri Vishal Mishra accompanied with the intricate rhythmic beats of the Tabla which captivated the audience. Thereafter everyone serenaded to the melody and serenity of the santoor played by Shri Partho Roy Chaudhary. The ethereal flute performance by Pt. Rakesh Chaurasia was hypnotic enough to calm each soul. Guru Jayarama Rao and his group mesmerized all with their graceful dance moves and subtle facial expression during the Kuchipudi dance presentation. The chief guest Mr. Satpal Ji Maharaj; Tourism and Irrigation minister congratulated all the students and other attendees for being an indispensable part of this state convention. He also commended the Spic Macay representatives for their tireless effort to keep the legacy of our rich culture, art, and tradition alive by just not creating an uproar but ensuring that the scenario changes for the better. During the intensive sessions the eagerness of the students to learn the most and present the best in front of the audience was palpable in the air. The three-day Spic Macay State Convention in which almost one thousand students from various districts and states participated concluded with the felicitation of the guests by the Principal Dr Mona Khanna. In her speech she commended the efforts of the students, Mr. R.N Tiwari (Chairperson Spic Macay, Uttrakhand) Ms. Rupi Mahindroo, Ms. Vidya Basan (Uttrakhand Chapter), and Ms Radha Chatterjee for making the event a grand success.
