2nd UWS Online Chess Tournament 2021-202228-Aug-2021

An All-India Interschool Online Chess Tournament was organized by Unison World School, for the second consecutive year from 27th August to 28th August 2021. The purpose was to provide a platform to young enthusiastic minds to enhance their analytical powers, concentration, ability to foresee possibilities, critically thinking and use their time constructively during the pandemic time. The competition was open for children of all age groups. 165 Students of 35 schools from 12 states of India and Global Indian International School, Dubai participated in the event. They all displayed great zeal and passion for the game. The first position was secured by Ojasva Singh of grade XI from Gwalior Glory High School. The second position was secured by Naksh Girish Malik of grade III from Chaturbhuj Narsee Memorial School, Mumbai and third position was won by Afsheen Afsha Zaman of grade VI from Mariya’s Public School, Assam. Amongst the participants of Unison World School, Sanya Agarwal od grade VII was the best player and secured 27th position in overall ranking. Principal Ms. Divya Dviwedi, Unison World School commended the efforts and initiative of all the participants for displaying unusual caliber and love for the game and playing it with true sports man ship. She encouraged the students to keep the passion and spirit for the game alive.
