Unison World School ‘13th Annual Prize Distribution Function’31-Oct-2020

Unison World School celebrated its ‘13th Annual Prize Distribution Function’ for the year 2020 online on the 31st of October, 2020. The day was marked with the celebration of the Annual Sports Meet ‘Spardha’, the Annual Art Exhibition and the Alumni Meet. The Annual Sports Meet ‘Spardha’ was declared ‘OPEN by’ Mr. Nirmal Tiwari, father of our Sports Prefect, Ms. Divyanshi. While the School Head Girl Ms. Sinjini Bhattacharjee delivered the welcome address. The school showcased pre-recorded glimpses of all Inter-House Sports events and competitions that were conducted throughout the year, on the School YouTube channel. The School takes pride in rising above the challenges posed by the pandemic to outline the progress made by the students in Sports and Life skill development. The Annual Sports Report was delivered by Ms. Divyanshi our Sports Prefect. The Overall Sports Trophy 2020 was bagged by Daffodil House. The Vote of Thanks was proposed by the Sports Vice Prefect the and Annual Sports Meet was declared ‘CLOSED’ by Mohd. Ashraf Ali, father of our Sports Vice Prefect, Ms. Nidha Ashraf. The event concluded with the singing of the National Anthem. The Annual Art Exhibition was inaugurated by our Guest of Honour for the event, Mrs. Churni Bhattacharjee, mother of our Head Girl, Ms. Sinjini Bhattacharjee. It was a delight to witness the Visual Art Display on Unison World School, YouTube Channel. The exhibition showcased the Acrylic, Digital Painting, Graphic Design, Photography, Folk and Digital Art made by the students. The idea of this exhibition was greatly appreciated by the Guest of Honour. The Virtual Alumni Meet witnessed a record of 180+ attendees from across the globe. The meet began with a prayer conducted by the Principal, followed by the welcome speech given by Ms. Payal Maheshwari (Batch of 2019-20). It was live interactive session where the alumni from the batches 2012 to 2020 shared their experiences and memories. The current students of UWS benefitted a lot from the valuable advice given by their seniors. The event concluded with the Vice Principal and Principal’s address who wished them well and for strengthening of with our old students and hoped to see all of them excelling in their future endeavors. The much awaited Annual Prize Distribution Ceremony began with a short prayer cordial welcome to our Chief Guest, Ms. Chhavi Rajawat, the first woman Sarpanch in India with an MBA degree, core members of the School Governing Body, eminent guests, parents, staff and students who graciously consented to participate in the event. Ms. Divya Dwivedi, Principal, delivered the school Annual Report instilling a sense of pride in the students and challenging them to surpass their own record. The Academic Prize holders were named and congratulated. In the pre-recorded Cultural Program, our girls presented an Indian classical fusion dance based on devotion towards Goddess Durga and Lord Krishna through a well-choreographed Bharatnatyam and Kathak ‘Jugalbandi’. The foot-tapping school rock band performed ‘Summer of 69’ by Bryan Adams. The Chief Guest, Ms. Chhavi Rajawat released our School Year Book – ‘Quintessence’. It was a proud moment for all when Ms. Rajawat delivered her words of encouragement and admiration at the efforts put in by the Management, staff and students to deliver this event on a virtual platform with such finesse. The Vote of Thanks was delivered by the School Head Girl Ms. Sinjini Bhattacharjee. The programme concluded with the singing of the National Anthem.
